Happy Spring, Trimzies! I hope you have been enjoying the first few days of Spring. It’s that time of the year for flowers to blossom, warmer weather to roll around, and to finally feel the sunshine and happiness of Springtime! This Spring, Rutgers has a special treat coming its way.
Come and join RU Positive for a fundraising night filled with positivity on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 in the Livingston Hall at the Livingston Student Center from 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM! RU Positive is an up and coming club that aims to spread positivity throughout campus. The club was founded by student Anthony DeVergillo who wants RU Positive to motivate other students to live life to the fullest and to always follow their dreams no matter what hardships may come their way. Students involved in the club have been working diligently to create the We Are Positive event and invites every student and faculty at Rutgers University to attend. It is just $5 for entry and will provide a night filled with inspiration, music, and activities! Donations will also be accepted upon entrance. All proceeds will be donated to Connectkids Summer Camp. This camp was specifically created for providing a week full of fun for children and young adults with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and other types of Muscular Dystrophy.
Motivational speakers, live bands, musical acts, dance performances, poetry, and much more will be provided during this event. In collaboration with the fraternity, Alpha Delta Phi, RU Positive is delighted to also say that every person is allowed to bring a maximum of one non-Rutgers guest to the event as well. They encourage that you all extend your invite so that an entire community beyond Rutgers can enjoy this charitable event. TRIM will be there to support the club and to give you insight on the event in the chance you do not have the chance to go. We are positive! RU? We hope to see you there.
