With the Oscars in the past, it’s time to look forward to movies coming out that may potentially be nominated for next year’s Academy Awards. Following Lupita Nyong’o’s highly anticipated win and the amazing performance of Frozen’s “Let It Go” by Idina Menzel, I’m sure you’re all wondering who will be nominated next year. One or two of the nominated films could potentially come out this month and you’ll probably want to know what’s going on when everyone’s talking about their favorite film. Need for Speed
Receiving 8.3 stars out of 10 from IMDB, Need for Speed follows Tobey Marshall, a street racer who has become the target of his ex-partner after his release from prison. If you are a fan of street racing films such as the Fast and Furious franchise, this movie will definitely not disappoint you. It is expected to hit theaters on March 14th.
Another movie focusing on a dystopian America set in the future will be coming to theaters on March 21st. Adapted from the hit novel series by Veronica Roth, Divergent is a science fiction action film expected to thrill its audience. The cast stars Shailene Woodley from The Secret Life of the American Teenager and The Descendants, Ansel Elgort who appeared in the remake of Carrie just last year, and Kate Winslet, known for her performance in The Titanic. Definitely keep an eye on this movie because it is likely to become a hugely popular franchise of the likes of Harry Potter, Twilight, and The Hunger Games.
Muppets Most Wanted
Who doesn’t like the Muppets? This film is perfect for anyone, regardless of age, looking to have a fun night out at the movies. It will star Tina Fey, Ricky Gervais, Ty Burrell and, of course, The Muppets. Marvel fans will be thrilled to learn that Tom Hiddleston will appear in the film alongside Lady Gaga, Usher, Josh Groban, Zach Galifianakis, and Celine Dion. Muppets Most Wanted will be in theaters on March 21st and will definitely put a smile on your face within its first five minutes.
Noah is an adventure film based on the biblical story of Noah and the Ark that is expected to keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time. Starring Russell Crowe as Noah alongside Logan Lerman, Emma Watson, and Jennifer Connelly, the film has a well known cast and is anticipated to draw in a large audience. You can be sure that the film will be filled with plenty of action and will be keep you talking about it with your friends long after it has already ended. The movie will be available in theaters on March 28th.
