As we enter our second week of September, the weather seems to be a little confused as to what season it is. While it is still technically considered summer, some lower temperatures are letting us know that fall is right around the corner. With these wavering temperatures, it can be hard to figure out how to dress yourself. You don’t want to be freezing cold in a tank top and flip flops, but you don’t want to be too hot in your leather or army jacket (I know, I’m dying to break out mine too, but just wait a few more weeks).
So, today I have come up with a little solution to your September sorrows, scarves and flats.
While scarves were invented to keep your neck and ears warm in the cold winter days, they have become a fashion phenomenon much more versatile than when originally created. Today, scared are used to add something extra to dresses, create a color pallet for a blazer, or even to dress up a tank top, which is what you will be using it for this week. Grab a plain and simple tank top, jeans, and flip flops, throw on a patterned scarf and you will have created a whole outfit in a matter of minutes that will keep you warm and stylish.
While flats may be too much covering your feet on a hot summer day, the fall air brings the perfect excuse to throw on a pair of flats. Personally, I’ve come to love flats more and more this season. Last year I wouldn’t be caught dead in a pair of flats, but, I’ve found that there are many different kinds and much you can do. Try picking up a pair of Steve Madden spiked flats to add some edge to your outfit. Or, if you’re looking for bargain pick up a pair of brightly colored flats from H&M for just $12!
Enjoy your first real week of school now that syllabus week fun has come to an end.
