Happy August readers!
I can’t believe this is the last month of summer. However, that is all the more reason to make it the most memorable. Summer brings you many options, from going to the beach to heading to a tiny ice cream place with your friends. But, on a sunny August day, when there is a tiny breeze, and you want something outdoors and exciting to do, what would be better than adding a little music, comedy, or acting to that scene? SummerStage NYC has done exactly that. With a giant stage set up at Rumsey Playfield (on 69th and 5th ave), there is something going on every day of the week for the rest of the summer. Whether you’re with your family and want something appropriate and entertaining for younger kids, or you’re on a romantic date and would like some lovely background music. SummerStage has something for everyone. It is completely free of charge and the show must go on in rain or shine!
“SummerStage, a program of City Parks Foundation, presents performances of outstanding artistic quality, free of charge, to serve the diverse communities of New York City.”
