Weekly Wears: July 15th

Good Evening Dolls,

With temperatures reaching record highs this week, I hope you’re all finding a way to stay cool. Trying to dress yourself for this kind of weather is a struggle. You want something light and airy, nothing that will stick to you, and nothing containing thick, heat-saving fabric. Your best bet is sheer clothing. This is a thin fabric that does not stick to the skin or absorb/retain heat. This season there seems to be many different types of ways to wear sheer:

Sheer Pants:

These pants contain a think layer of fabric that acts as shorts, while the sheer fabric ads some extra color and flair to the outfit. These pants are great high-waisted and paired with a cropped top as pictured below. They add a little boho  inspiration to any outfit.

Sheer Shirts:

Sheer shirts are a GREAT staple to have in your closet for many reasons. Not only are these shirt light for the summer heat, but they’re probably one of the most versatile items you will ever purchase. They can be worn many different ways; over a dress, tucked into a skirt, with shorts, as a thin jacket, etc. You can wear them in the office, and then throw a bandeau under them to create a day to night outfit. I highly recommend adding one to your collection.

Sheer Skirts:

Sheer skirts are much like sheer pants with a thin under layer acting as a regular skirt, however they dress up any outfit just a little more than pants would. They catch the wind and keep your outfit flowing and cool. Sheer skirts come in all shapes and sizes, making them easy to pair with different outfits. There is the classic short ballerina skirt, the floor length sheer skirt, and the new and trendy high-low skirt.

Drink lots of water, eat lots of protein, and stay near the AC!
