Weekly Wears: July 1st

Happy July!

We’re one month down, and two months to go of summer. I’m sure for many of us that means two more months of working, or maybe two more months of counting down until you’re back at college with all your friends. While that may be a dreary thought, I wanted to give you a way to brighten up your daily routine, with a comfortable and colorful outfit.

While pants are a piece usually reserved for cold winter days, designers have put a twist on this classic, created a light and airy pant made out of then fabric and easily paired with a summer tank top and sandals. These pants come in many different shapes and sizes: wide leg, capri, and straight leg.

I’ve put together some examples of how these pants can we worn casually while enjoying a day with friends, or even dressed up for an important meeting at work.

This first outfit is full of colors and prints and exemplifies a great work outfit to brighten up the office on a lazy day. Paired with a scalloped top and colorful shoes, the outfit is perfectly tied together with a basic black handbag and golden matching belt.

This next outfit is a perfect example of how to make these pants casual. Pictured below is a boho inspired look, which can even be used as a dinner cover up for a bathing suit after a long day at the beach.

This last look is perfect for day or night. If you’re headed out for a cute date with your new summer fling, throw on a pair of colorful summery pants dressed up with some simple accessories.
