The weekend is near, as well as Rutgers University’s 2013 Dance Marathon! Every year Rutgers is home to the largest student-run philanthropic event in the state of New Jersey. The RUDM raises money and increases awareness for the Embrace Kids Foundation which provides services that range from direct financial support to families facing hardship to tutoring for kids to keep up in school while undergoing treatment. Each year RUDM raises thousands of dollars and receives exceptional recognition for the effort put in by students and faculty.
Beginning Saturday, April 6, 2013 at 10 a.m. through Sunday, April 7 at 6 p.m., students, faculty, kids, families and alumni will fill the College Avenue gym and remain on their feet, dancing without any sort of sleep, for 32 hours! For those of you that enjoy dancing or for those of you that just want to help out the cause, we highly suggest stopping by. There are several ways you can get involved with this event.
