Weekly Wears: February 24th

Hello Dolls,

Welcome to Trim Magazine’s new edition to our blog! Every Sunday you can come get a little inspiration for what to wear the following week. Also, don’t forget to check back on Wednesday for our Hump Day special: ideas to dress up your outfits for the upcoming weekends.

This week, Rutgers seems to be experiencing a bit of a heat wave, with temperatures around 50 all week. For us this means no more embarrassing puffy jackets, hiding your hair under hoods, or hiding your face under your scarf. We get a little taste of spring, and hopefully it will continue from here on out.

Even though temperatures are rising, it’s still not enough to fully whip out the shorts and sandals. Try dressing up a pair of leggings with an oversized sweater and boots. The sweater will keep you warm, while still being lighter than the suffocating jacket that you’ve been used to for the past few months. Or, if you’re feeling in a spring-y mood, add some color to your everyday jeans and riding boots. Top it off with a cute scarf and you’ll be warm enough while still enjoying the beautiful weather.

If you’re still not ready to let go of your jacket, for those who are crazy enough to enjoy winter layers, try making your outfit a little lighter with a thinner blazer or light motorcycle jacket.

Another fun way to lighten up your outfit is to add some prints to your wardrobe! Whether it’s a leopard print shirt or floral jeans, you’re drawing attention to your look and adding to the fun feel of spring time.

Well Trim readers, hope you found our first addition of “Weekly Wears” helpful. Have any ideas or requests? Don’t be shy, tweet us @TrimMagazine or tell us on Facebook!

Have a stress free week and enjoy the warm weather!
